Klaudia Pasternak (born 1980 in Warsaw, Poland) – Polish contemporary composer, opera conductor,〔(Music testosterone or young women conductors ) interview 2008, ''Tygodnik Przeglad (Weekly Review)''〕 numerous prize winner, nominated twice to prestigious Paszport Polityki (Policy Passport). ==Life== Klaudia Pasternak was born in Warsaw, in music family. At the age of 12, she began composing own music and the result was her first piece ''Suite'' for piano. At the age of 11, she started playing percussion and continuing education in the classroom of Bogdan Lauks, in Music High School of Józef Elsner. At that time, in addition to the composition and percussion interests, her musical attention took conducting. At the age of 17, she received her first composer award. In 2000 she began studies at The Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, where she graduated two directions: composition in classroom of Stanisław Moryto and symphony – opera conducting in the classroom of Tomasz Bugaj. Artist lives and works in Warsaw.
